Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez is 'one to watch' amid transfer links. Reds left-back Andy Robertson has had a mixed campaign during Arne Slot's first season in charge and it has been claimed that the Scotland international needs support.

The 30-year-old will serve a one-match ban after being sent off after 17 minutes during the 2-2 draw with Fulham. Robertson took a loose touch which was quickly capitalised upon by Harry Wilson before the Welshman was brought down by the Liverpool defender.

Current alternative Kostas Tsimikas is sidelined through injury and speculation has emerged over the prospect of signing the Cherries defender - who is the international teammate of Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.

New Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes brought Kerkez to the Premier League during his tenure on the south coast and Carragher believes the 21-year-old could be the ideal addition to the squad after being a "revelation" in Andoni Iraola's side.

"Well we have just spoken about Liverpool's left-back situation right now and the fact Andy Robertson needs help," Carragher, 46, said speaking on Monday Night Football. "Listen, he's been a revelation at Bournemouth and the only reason why I mentioned him was, yes, they're probably looking for somebody in that position."

"But the fact that the sporting director who brought him to Bournemouth, Richard Hughes, is now sporting director at Liverpool. He's aggressive, he's got pace and even when you look at him, he looks like a full-back, you know little and really aggressive after wingers on that side.

"He's just bombing up and down that left-hand side. He's been superb since he's come in to the Premier League with Bournemouth and he's one to watch for the future, whether he stays or he moves on, because he's made that much of an impact."
