Jamie Carragher shares Trent Alexander-Arnold Liverpool theory and says 'there's been a frustration'
Jamie Carragher has claimed Trent Alexander-Arnold will be 'determined' to prove his commitment to Liverpool amid Real Madrid transfer interest. The Reds took on fierce rivals Manchester United on Sunday with Arne Slot's side looking to capitalise on Arsenal's failure to beat Brighton.
However, in the build-up to their showdown with the Red Devils, the clash has been overshadowed by the reigning Champions League and La Liga holders' push to sign the full-back. The 26-year-old, who is out of contract at Anfield in the summer, has been the topic of interest from Carlo Ancelotti's side as they look to solve their defensive issues following injuries.
Madrid launched a £20million bid for Alexander-Arnold on the eve of the January transfer window, days after he scored against West Ham United and seemingly silenced reports that he had expressed his intention that he wanted to leave Liverpool.

"The system that Manchester United play, Trent Alexander-Arnold should have a field day in this set-up, plenty of space," the former Liverpool defender said speaking prior to their encounter with United.
"I wouldn't say there's a point to prove but there's definitely been a frustration in the last week from Liverpool supporters that this Real Madrid story came out and Liverpool have got a huge game against United and in such a great position to win a Premier League title - if today goes well.
"He'll be determined to put in a performance and show the supporters he's fully 100 percent a Liverpool player."
Alexander-Arnold is one of three key players within Slot's side that currently face contract uncertainty with Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah also set to become free agents in the summer.
