Jamie Vardy landmark under threat as Alexander Isak bears down on iconic Premier League record
Alexander Isak is only five games away from breaking Jamie Vardy's record of most goals scored in consecutive Premier League games.
Isak's winning goal against Tottenham on Saturday was his seventh Premier League game in a row where he has scored. Within these seven games, he has scored once in each bar his hat-trick against Ipswich.
His current streak makes him only the third Newcastle player to score in seven consecutive games, matching Alan Shearer's run in 1996 and Joe Willock's in 2021.

Vardy's record at Leicester is an impressive 11 games. It was the season where the Foxes won the league. Isak will need to score in his next five Premier League games - and here's how they look.
The first three, which Isak will have to get out of the way, are two home games against Wolves and Bournemouth, followed by an away trip to Southampton.
Where he can equal the record set by Vardy is when Fulham take a trip up to St. James Park. This gives the Newcastle faithful a chance to celebrate with the Swedish striker if he manages to score in that game.
The 15th of February is the date that should be in all Newcastle fans' diaries. A trip to current Premier League champions Manchester City could be a trip of a lifetime, as it is at the Etihad Stadium where Isak could break the record.
Isak is currently the third highest goal scorer in the Premier League. He actually matches Mohamed Salah if you rule out penalty goals. The conversation hovering around English football is if the Swedish forward is the best striker in the Premier League right now.
