Jamieson wants to put distance between Port side and West Park in crunch clash
PORT GLASGOW Juniors boss Tam Jamieson knows only too well the challenge that West Park United will pose his side at Parklea this weekend - but he wants to try and put even more distance between the Undertakers and the Bishopbriggs side.
Two places and eight points separate the two sides as the Parklea side look to finally get 2025 under way.
A win could see the Port move 11 points clear of fourth place with half a season's worth of fixtures to go - and Jamieson wants his side to make the most of the chance to try and put some distance between themselves and the teams around them in the table.

And despite not being able to get any minutes in the legs after last weekend's clash against St Peter's fell by the wayside, Jamieson admits that the postponement might have been a blessing in disguise as key players have been able to shake off knocks picked up over the festive period.
He told the Tele: "West Park are a young team, but full of energy and full of legs.
"Actually, a lot of times in this league are very young teams. They're fit, press high and they run all day.
"But West Park were decent in the two games we've played them in already, particularly down here in the cup game back at the beginning of the season.
"We've got a few players back though, so we're heading into the game in a good place.
"We're heading into a game against a team that are placed in and around u,s so we need to try and take that opportunity to put some distance between West Park and ourselves.
"They must be doing well if they haven't lost in their last seven league games, but we'll hopefully have enough to navigate the tie.
"The call off last week might've been a wee bit of a blessing because we've got a few bodies back in contention to play now - but these are the hurdles that we're just going to need to overcome in the second half of the season."

The Parklea men sit just four points off of league leaders Knightswood, who they've still to face before the end of the campaign.
Jamieson says he's got no doubts about his side's ability to win things given his players' achievements, but he admits that his only question will be whether they want to go and finish the job off in style.
He added: "We've got a young squad here who know how to go and win things. The main question for me is if they actually want to go and do it.
"We've got the ex-Morton boys who've won the reserve league, and then Chris Millar who has won the Scottish Cup with St Johnstone. Even young Jayden McGivern won a trophy with Benburb under-20s last season.
"A lot of them do want to go and win it - so it's up to them to go and finish the job off in the second half of the season."
