Cheltenham Town have turned down a six-figure bid for winger Ethon Archer from League Two rivals MK Dons, Gloucestershire Live understands.

The 22-year-old has scored six goals for the Robins in what is his first EFL season, after spells in non-league football with the likes of Raynes Park Vale, Three Bridges and Torquay United.

He is the only player to feature in all 28 of Cheltenham's League Two matches this season, but he has not scored in his last 11 appearances.

Boss Michael Flynn revealed after Saturday's 1-0 home win over Chesterfield that bids had been rejected for members of his squad during the January transfer window.

As revealed by Gloucestershire Live, there has been an approach by Championship club QPR for 18-year-old forward Tom King, with two bids rejected.

And MK Dons, who sit 11th in the League Two table - one place above Cheltenham - tabled an offer for Archer.

Flynn is hoping not to lose any of his first team regulars before Monday night's 11pm deadline for transfers.

Cheltenham have loaned out several players this month, including goalkeeper Owen Evans to Barnet, midfielders Tom Pett and Harrison Sohna to Oldham Athletic and Wealdstone respectively and first year pro Freddy Willcox to Oxford City.

They have signed five, with Gillingham midfielder Timothée Dieng expected to be confirmed as the sixth on Monday.

Dieng, 32, will take the number of loans in the squad to six, with only five permitted in a matchday squad of 18.

Right-back Darragh Power from Waterford FC is the only permanent signing of the window, along with temporary additions Ashley Hay, Val Adedokun (both Brentford), Tommy Backwell (Bristol City) and Ethan Williams (Manchester United).

Central defender from Bradford City Sam Stubbs is the only loanee to remain from the first half of the campaign, with leading scorer Joel Colwill, Levi Laing, Manni Norkett, Lewis Shipley and Lewis Payne all departing.
