While chatting with PEOPLE at the pre-Super Bowl event, the star discussed how his brotherly relationship with Travis has evolved during their busy and successful recent years, which Jason himself describes as “very big.” According to the the NFL alum, the duo's relationship has remained pretty stable.

“I don't know, it still feels the same. I mean, we're both having a lot of success,” Jason told PEOPLE, adding that it “has been fun to watch Travis continue to excel — I mean, he's in another Super Bowl, go figure.”

He added that their weekly New Heights podcast forces them to stay in touch, even when their respective schedules are jam-packed — which they often are.

Elsewhere in his pre-Super Bowl chat with PEOPLE, Jason discussed his “down-to-earth” — others’ words, not his — nature, which he credits to his parents’ hard work and Ohio upbringing. “I mean, I've gotten it before,” he said of the label. “I think that you just try and go about and be nice, and treat people with kindness and be fun.”

When asked if it just comes “naturally” to him, the father of four replied, “I think so, I guess.”

“I mean, I think from Ohio, it's hard to not be that way,” the former Eagles center explained. “I think when you come from an area that was born off the backs of a lot of blue-collar industry-working families and individuals, I think that that's just kind of the temperament that people tend to have.”

“And, you know, both my my parents worked, and I think the entire city of Cleveland was built off a lot of that,” he continued, “So we take pride in where we're from, and I think we're ultimately a byproduct of where we're from and the people that we've met along the way.”
