Jhon Duran transfer update as Aston Villa respond to £63m bid amid Saudi Pro League claim
Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr have reportedly entered the race to sign Jhon Duran despite Aston Villa being insistent that the striker is not available for transfer in the winter window.
The 21-year-old committed his future to Villa back in October by signing a contract until 2030 after being courted by no fewer than 40 clubs in the summer window. He has scored 12 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions this season, but has only started seven matches, including once in the Champions League and four times in the league.
Duran scored in three consecutive games in December against Southampton, Man City and Nottingham Forest before being sent off in his following start against Newcastle United on Boxing Day.

His stunning form in the first half of the season and the fact Villa have him pinned down on a long-term deal means that his price tag is huge. Villa turned down a derisory offer from West Ham earlier this week, which was thought to be lower than the £57m quoted.
Foot Mercato now claim that Villa have turned down a bid worth around £63m from Paris Saint-Germain, who have a serious interest in the Colombia international. They add that Al-Nassr are also monitoring the situation and could firm up their interest in the forward.
Duran joined Villa in January 2023 from Chicago Fire in a deal worth £18m after he scored eight goals and set up six more in 28 appearances for the MLS club.
