Joao Felix shirt number confirmed as Chelsea give Raheem Sterling's to Pedro Neto
New Chelsea signing Joao Felix will wear the No.14 shirt number, which had previously belonged to Trevoh Chalobah.
Felix’s arrival at Stamford Bridge was confirmed earlier on Wednesday, arriving in a deal worth around £44.5million as Conor Gallagher went in the opposite direction to Atletico Madrid.
It is the same shirt number Felix wore while on loan at Barcelona last season. He wore the No11 shirt number during his loan spell with the Blues in 2023.
Fellow summer signing Pedro Neto has been given the No7 shirt, which was worn by Raheem Sterling last summer.
Chelsea confirmed the new shirt numbers in a statement without naming either of Chalobah or Sterling.
Both Chalobah and Sterling have been told to find new clubs this summer, along with the likes of Ben Chilwell.
When asked by Sterling and Chilwell on Wednesday, manager Enzo Maresca said: “Until they are Chelsea players, they want to be Chelsea players. We have a big squad and it is impossible to give them all minutes.
"If they are looking for minutes, then it is better if they leave. If they do not leave, then they have a contract here and they are Chelsea player.”
