Joe Hart offered emotional Manchester City return as Celtic keeper nears retirement
Celtic hero Joe Hart will reportedly be offered an emotional return to Manchester City.
The two-time Premier League winner is set to call time on his remarkable 20-year career after announcing his decision in February to hang up the gloves. Hart, 37, is desperate to bow out of Parkhead as a champion as the Hoops target Double glory and the former England No1 will pull down the curtain after next month's Old Firm Scottish Cup Final at Hampden.
Hart has made it clear he's not ready to move into coaching but the Daily Record reports that former club Man City are ready to welcome the keeper back to the Etihad in a non-footballing capacity or an ambassadorial role.
Hart is a legend in the blue side of Manchester after winning two EPL titles, two League Cups and one FA Cup during his time there. And while the 75-times capped goalkeeper could take up a role with City, Hart has also refused to rule out the possibility of staying at Parkhead in a new role.
Speaking to fan media at the An Evening With Joe Hart event on Sunday night, he said: "I've not taken any coaching badges, that was quite a conscious decision. I know that coaching and management is ingrained in a lot of people. But for me, it doesn't necessarily do it for me. I want to help, I want to give back, but there's different ways that I can do it.
"I'll always be available to Celtic if they ever need to lean on me for anything, I've made the manager and the club aware of that. But coaching a specific team? That's not something that I'm looking to do."
