Johan Bakayoko transfer stance as Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle handed new update
Arsenal target Johan Bakayoko will not leave PSV in the January transfer window, it has been claimed. The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to the Emirates after impressing in the Eredivisie.
Bakayoko has scored six goals and added three assists in 21 appearances this season and there has been talk that he could depart the Dutch club this winter. The Belgium international, who has 18 months left on his contract, is valued at around £40million and this might be PSV's chance to get a mega-money fee for him.
However, Bakayoko is going nowhere this month. According to his agent Gerard Witters, the forward is staying put at PSV and won't be making the move away in January, dealing a major blow to Arsenal's chances of signing him. Witters said, via the Star: "Bakayoko will not leave PSV this season, regardless of the amount."

Newcastle and Liverpool are among the other teams interested in Bakayoko, who has also excelled in the Champions League this season. He scored in a 4-0 win over Girona in November and has helped put PSV in a position to attempt to qualify for the knockout phase in February.
Over the past six months, Bakayoko has often said he is unsure over his PSV future. He spoke in December and confirmed he doesn't know whether he will leave the Eindhoven-based outfit. But now, it appears he is sure that he will stick put at PSV until at least the end of the season.
Mikel Arteta might still be temped to add to his squad during the winter window. Bakayoko, a natural right-winger, would have added depth to that position with Bukayo Saka out until at least February with a hamstring issue.
Ethan Nwaneri has started in that position for the last two matches, while Gabriel Martinelli has also played there since Saka was ruled out. And fans watching Saturday's 1-1 draw against Brighton might not think that Arsenal need to strengthen there, after Nwaneri scored his second Premier League goal.
The Gunners were unable to find all three points at the Amex Stadium as Joao Pedro's second-half penalty ensured the spoils were shared. Speaking after the match, Arteta said: "First of all on the game, this is a really tough place to come. I think we started the game well and in the first half scored a great goal and didn't really concede anything. But in the second half, we dropped our standards and level with the ball, giving too many balls away.
"That never allowed us really to generate momentum and dominance in the game to control and go for the second goal. And without really conceding much apart from that transition moment with [Yankuba] Minteh, [the penalty] becomes a decision that is very, very disappointing."
