John Cartwright has named seven debutants in his Hull FC side to take on York Acorn in the Challenge Cup this Saturday afternoon. The Black and Whites boss will take charge of his first ever competitive game at the club, with four new signings in the line-up and three members of the Elite Talent Group taking their place.

Marquee signing John Asiata will captain the side from loose-forward, with Cade Cust at half-back and Oliver Holmes in the back row. Hugo Salabio is named on the bench. As for youth, Lloyd Kemp starts in the halves alongside Cust, with Joe Ward on the wing and hooker Will Hutchinson on the bench.

Backing several young members of his squad, Cartwright has named a speedy three-quarter like. Logan Moy starts at full-back, Ward is joined on the wing by Lewis Martin, with Ryan Westerman and Harvey Barron in the centres. Once again, Cust and Kemp are the half-back pairing.
