John Eustace is relishing a return to Loftus Road as his Rovers side aim to make it back-to-back wins in the Championship.

Eustace was assistant to both Steve McClaren and Mark Warburton at QPR, also having a stint as caretaker manager.

The London club currently sit 14th in the Championship table following defeats against Sheffield Wednesday and Millwall.

“It is a fantastic stadium, a fantastic place to work,” said Eustace. “I have got some real good friends there. QPR are playing really well at the moment as well, so we are looking forward to the challenge ahead.

“They are playing some really exciting, attacking football. They have got some real match winners there, the recruitment has been very good. The club is ran very well, a real top team in the Championship.”

The games come thick and fast again, with the FA Cup tie against Wolves and a trip to play-off rivals West Brom also coming up in the next eight days.

When asked if the demands on players are getting higher, Eustace replied: “I think so. But again, the teams coming down from the Premier League and the teams with the biggest budgets have got the biggest squads, so I think that it kind of helps them.

“It certainly affects the teams with lesser budgets and lesser-sized squads, but that is the Championship and we are not going to moan about it.

“Up to now, the lads have been terrific. Our squad of players have been brilliant and it is important now we really kick on again for these last 16 games.”

There have been some eye-catching deals across the division over the past month, with several clubs spending big.

“Everyone's chasing the dream of getting in the Premier League, aren't they? The wages and the transfer fees that are happening now are off the scale really,” said the head coach.

“It is just important that we just focus on what we can do and the players we can bring in, and just make sure we have got that team spirit, that togetherness and those family values, which we have asked for with the fans, the players and the football club.

“We want a special family here at Blackburn and that will get you a long way, as long as you are producing the quality in that fight. I think overall we have done that so far this season.”
