'He will join Arsenal' - Huge £49.8m transfer claim made for perfect Mikel Arteta signing
Mikel Arteta has been told that PSV Eindhoven star Ismael Saibari could be the perfect signing for Arsenal. The 23-year-old has made a lightening start to the new campaign with four goals and six assists to his name from 16 appearances in all competitions.
The majority of his goal contributions have arrived in Eredivisie games but he has made an impact in Champions League action against both Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain. Just this past weekend, he bagged a brace and an assist from midfield in the 5-2 win over FC Utrecht.
Unsurprisingly, following such a scintillating display, Dutch pundits have been full of praise for Saibari and teammate Malik Tillman, who has been linked to Tottenham, with the former believed to be perfect for Arsenal. As quoted by Voetbal Zone, via Sport Witness, former PSV winger Rene van der Gijp said: "I think I will soon be proven right.

"The only one in the PSV selection who will reach the European top is Saibari. Just pay attention. And Tillman… That’s also possible, but I don’t think in the Premier League. He could play in Spain or Italy, because he has that phlegmatic quality.
"But that Saibari, he has such a drive. He has everything for a complete midfielder. He’s just always on the move. I really have the feeling that he’ll end up at Arsenal. I’m really convinced of that, yes.” And Van der Gijp is not the only former professional footballer backing him to end up at Emirates Stadium.
“I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal pick him up after the season," ex-Feyenoord striker Ali Boussaboun as quoted by Voetbal earlier this year. "If PSV sell him for less than £49.8million (€60m), they will have failed." With some huge claims having been made about Saibari, it is an interesting transfer rumour to keep an eye on.
With two pundits specifically backing him to join Arsenal, it certainly suggests he may be the perfect fit for Arteta and there is clear evidence that may be the case. Though his preference is to play in central midfield, he has also been deployed as a striker and on both wings during his career, according to transfermarkt.
Arteta's love for versatile players is well-known and thus it is easy to understand why Arsenal have been linked to the Moroccan international.
