Stoke City are heading into a busy winter as Narcis Pelach prepares for a rush of fixtures and his first transfer window as head coach.

Stoke have lost one in 10 under their new boss but he knows they need to start winning more too in a desperately tight Championship table. There are hard games to come as well, with Burnley at home this weekend followed by trips to Sunderland and Luton Town. There are eight matches to fit in the 33 days up to New Year's Day, also including a festive home double header against Leeds United and Sunderland.

Pelach, sporting director Jon Walters and head of recruitment Lee Darnbrough have also been meeting and planning for the few weeks beyond that and how the squad can be tweaked and shaped for the second half of the campaign. Pelach has been 'bringing some good names' to the table himself in terms of potential targets.
