Jordan Abdull leaves Hull FC as homecoming ends in sudden fashion
Jordan Abdull has left Hull FC. Rugby League Live understands the halfback has reached an agreement with the club which will see him depart with immediate effect.
One of the club's new signings for 2025, the 28-year-old was set to form a partnership with Aidan Sezer this year, having returned to the club for a second stint having previously represented the club at the start of his career.
However, it is now believed that his latest spell at the club is over before even playing a game for the club. Abdull was not present for the club's photoshoot yesterday and while sources at Hull FC are staying tight-lipped on the matter, he is understood to now be a free agent.

An England international, Abdull left Hull FC at the end of 2018 and he has gone on to play for London Broncos, Hull KR and Catalans Dragons since. His form for Rovers in 2021 saw him earn an England cap at the end of that year.
It remains to be seen how the Black and Whites will approach recruitment from here. While Abdull's exit does open up salary cap space and a key position within the playing roster, John Cartwright has recently praised the pre-season efforts of Cade Cust, who would now appear to be the man who will partner Sezer once the start of the season approaches.
Finding a halfback so close to the season will be a particularly difficult task, with Leigh Leopards' ongoing search for one highlighting the lack of available options on the market at this time.
Cust was provisionally brought in to cover both halfback and hooker and while a move into the halves would leave head coach John Cartwright with less flexibility at nine, both Amir Bourouh and Denive Balmforth are specialists in that position.
As for Abdull, it remains to be seen where he heads next. Injuries have restricted his game time in recent years but he has established a reputation for having one of the best kicking games in Super League during his career.
