Jorginho and David Raya drop early Arsenal team news hint as Mikel Arteta makes Man United claim

Jorginho and David Raya have dropped early team news hints ahead of Arsenal's clash against Manchester United. Erik ten Hag will welcome the Gunners to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon as both sides hope to climb the Premier League table.

Arsenal will be determined to extend their four-game unbeaten streak following Manchester City's victory against Fulham on Saturday afternoon. The reigning champions stormed past Marco Silva's side at Craven Cottage to reclaim first place.

The North Londoners currently trail Manchester City in the title race by just two points, so a win against United could prove pivotal. As for the Red Devils, they will be keen to return to winning ways after they were trounced 4-0 by Crystal Palace on Monday night.

While United know a win over Arsenal would push their archenemies closer to a historic four-peat, Ten Hag's side have fallen behind in the race for European football. Nevertheless, Jorginho and Raya have posted pre-match graphic previews of the fixture to their respective Instagram stories.

Historically, this suggests that the duo will be involved in some capacity. Speaking to reporters ahead of the clash, Arteta was quizzed on the Red Devils' poor form and whether it's difficult to perform at Old Trafford.

"I don’t think about it, every game has a different context," said the Spaniard. "We know the difficulty and the history when you look at what we’ve done over there, so we’re going to have to be at our best to earn the right to win the game."

"We know what we need to do but first of all we have to perform at a really high level to deserve to win the match – that’s what the focus is," added the Arsenal boss. "It is different but the difficulty there is the quality of the opposition.

"The quality of the individuals and the manager. It brings a lot of challenges but we’ve been in very difficult stadiums this season and done very well so hopefully we can do the same on Sunday."

With that being said, Arteta will be relying on the likes of Raya to step up and keep Arsenal in the title race. While a few players have posted pre-match previews of the United game to their Instagram stories, it does not necessarily mean they will definitely start.
