Jose Mourinho targets £10m Aston Villa transfer after summer uncertainty
Aston Villa centre-back Diego Carlos is reportedly attracting interest from Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
The Brazilian is due to enter the final 12 months of his deal in the summer and will turn 32 in April. Villa were happy to offload the centre-back last summer, but are thin on options at the back following the injury suffered by Pau Torres, who will miss the next two months of action.
Sky Sports claim that Fenerbahce are willing to pay in the region of £10m for Carlos, who joined Villa for more than double that figure three summers ago. Jose Mourinho, who manages Fenerbahce, is looking to bolster his squad this month to stay in a title race with rivals Galatasaray.

Last week, Emery was asked in his press conference about Villa's stance on Carlos in this January window.
"We need a centre-back like him after Pau Torres’ injury," Emery said. "We now have three [centre-backs]. We are working with Lamare Bogarde, his versatility can help us. We have Sil [Swinkels] in the squad as well, but the idea is to let him go on loan and play. Diego Carlos is necessary."
Carlos has missed four matches in all competitions due to injury this season, starting eight of Villa's 20 league games. He has also featured in all six of Villa's Champions League league phase matches so far this season.
