Bellingham was known across the continent even when he was a schoolboy coming through at Blues before setting a club record when he made his debut as a 16-year-old against Portsmouth.

He spent one year in the Blues first team before moving on to Borussia Dortmund and then to Real Madrid. He has 40 England caps to his name. His transfer from Blues to Dortmund brought a much needed cash injection into the then embattled club during the pandemic. The deal paid off again when Blues benefitted from a sell-on clause as he moved to Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in 2023.
