Jurgen Klopp Liverpool documentary release date as Amazon Prime launch official trailer
A new football documentary giving exclusive behind-the-scenes access to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool reign has been announced.
Amazon Prime Video released a launch trailer for the definitive series on Tuesday and will offer never-seen-before clips of the German coach's final six months with his beloved Reds. The four-part series will highlight the club’s rise from perennial underachievers to Premier League and Champions League winners.
Fans will get to spend extensive time with Klopp during and after his final season in charge. Interviews with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker, Pep Lijnders and Andy Robertson will illuminate what it was like to be at the club day in day out during his era.
Light will be shed on the ex Borussia Dortmund boss by former Liverpool players, including such as Jamie Carragher and Adam Lallana, and on the impact he had at the club and how many supporters see him in the same bracket as Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley. Fans will also finally get to see inside the mind of Klopp after he announced his shock resignation midway through the 2023/24 season as his side were in the midst of a race for four trophies.
Doubters to Believers Liverpool FC: Klopp’s Era will premier on Amazon Prime Video on February 28. All four episodes will be available at once. The series is produced by Lorton Entertainment and executive produced by Ed Barratt, Julian Bird, Lucy Hardy, Angus Paskin-Orr, Kenneth Shepherd and Jonathan Smith.
