What Jurgen Klopp was spotted doing at Anfield ahead of emotional farewell

Jurgen Klopp will manage Liverpool for the final time this weekend against Wolves

Jurgen Klopp has been spotted at Anfield ahead of his final match as Liverpool manager.

This Sunday will see the Reds take on Wolves in the club's final Premier League match of the season. Liverpool were held to a 3-3 draw with Aston Villa on Monday night in what was Klopp's final away fixture as manager.

Klopp announced back in January that he would be stepping down as Liverpool manager at the end of the season. The German has since guided the Reds to a Carabao Cup triumph, a third-place finish in the Premier League and the quarter-finals of the Europa League and FA Cup in his final season.

With Sunday expected to be an emotional day for everyone connected with Liverpool, it seems that Klopp is already busy preparing to say his goodbyes. A video has emerged on social media which shows Klopp inside Anfield on Tuesday, days before kick-off against Wolves this weekend.

The footage filmed from inside Anfield was posted on social media and saw Klopp standing on the halfway line by himself looking towards the empty Kop end. Another photo posted by the same account showed Klopp standing in the Kop, seemingly appearing to be taking in his surroundings ahead of Sunday's fixture.

In the aftermath of the draw with Villa on Monday night, Klopp went over to the travelling Liverpool fans to bid an emotional goodbye after his final away fixture in charge. Klopp was asked about his emotions after the farewell and admitted he was surprised by his reaction to the occasion.

“I enjoyed it always, I enjoyed it today,” Klopp told reporters on Monday night. “I appreciate so much what these boys and girls are doing. The away fans are always like absolutely insane what they did, where they were. We have asked them to travel a lot over the years.

“It was and is a wonderful relationship. I always try to show my appreciation, and today the boys showed that as well with the way they played.

“I still don’t feel like it’s the last time, I know it is but it just doesn’t feel it. I am obviously more professional than I thought, because I was completely in the game, I didn’t think a second about it being my last away game, I had no movie going through my head, nothing. I was completely in the game.”
