MANAGER Ivan Juric reiterated that Saints do not intend to sell starlet Tyler Dibling this month despite reported interest from several top clubs.

Dibling has been linked with several clubs this month, with Tottenham and RB Leipzig the latest, however, Juric insisted he wants the 18 year old to stay.

Southampton have reportedly placed a massive £55million price tag on the teenager, who has scored two Premier League goals this season.

Since taking over from Russell Martin last month, Juric has insisted that Saints need to retain their "best players" in a bid to avoid relegation.

When asked if he had received any assurances that Dibling would remain his player this month, he said: "There are no assurances in football, we know that.

"But I am pretty sure that I will be coaching Dibling all this year. He is very motivated, like we see in the game. I saw him really focused, concentrated. No problem."

Dibling is currently out with an ankle injury suffered at Manchester United. The initial prognosis ruled the England under-21 international out for four to six weeks.

However, Juric is hopeful he will be back sooner and said: "In this moment, we are a little bit more optimistic. We will see next week how we are proceeding. Everybody is more optimistic and we will see. Next week we can say something more."

Asked if there are any other transfer deals in the offing, Juric admitted: "No, everything is quiet, I think. I think we need one or two players to get better when we are needed. We will see players that maybe can leave, they are not playing a lot and maybe they will leave."
