Juventus could sign two Man United stars - it would give Ruben Amorim green light for dream signing
If Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is to add to his squad during this month's transfer window he is going to have to rely on departures first.
The word from United is that there is "no money" to be spent on new recruits over the next four weeks or so, meaning there is a very realistic chance Amorim might have to wait until the summer before being provided with the ammunition he needs to make the necessary changes.
But given the club's current predicament, they could do with a signing or two in the mid-season window to give the squad and the supporters a much-needed boost.

In an ideal world, United could do with swooping for a both a left-sided wing-back and a centre-forward this month. United do not currently have a viable option to fill the left wing-back berth and goals have been in short supply this season.
United have, unsurprisingly, been heavily linked with swooping for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres in this month's window but there is absolutely no chance of them being able to sign him before the February 3 deadline. His release clause is understood to be worth around £83million.
Should United be able to cut their cloth this month and offload one or two fringe players, or perhaps Marcus Rashford, whose future is currently under the microscope, windows of opportunity may open up. United may be able to find a left wing-back from somewhere and potentially draft in a striker in on loan.
Speaking of the attacking department, Juventus have been heavily linked with signing Joshua Zirkzee in recent weeks amid his United struggles. He has scored just four times in 27 appearances since joining the club from Bologna in the summer and was harshly the subject of ironic cheers when substituted in the first half of Monday night's 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United.
In addition to Juventus reportedly being keen on Zirkzee, the Serie A outfit has also been credited with interest in Tyrell Malacia. The left-back, who has made five appearances since returning from a long-term injury lay-off in November, is wanted by the Italian side, according to a report by TuttoJuve.
It is claimed Juventus could take Malacia on loan this month in a deal that could be a 'last-minute opportunity'. The report adds that Juventus want a versatile defender and they believe the United ace fits the bill.
If United are open to the idea of offloading Malacia, who is not a left wing-back, and can guarantee sourcing a replacement who suits Amorim's system, it is a decision they should consider. A loan move could see Juventus pay a sizeable portion of Malacia's wages, allowing United to reinvest that money in a more suitable replacement.
If Juventus are also serious about taking Zirkzee, either on loan or permanently, that would also open up a window of opportunity for United to strengthen up front. It is clear United will have to move players on in order to bring in fresh faces.
Speaking after the defeat to Newcastle, Amorim said: "We don't have that possibility in January. You know the situation better than I [do].
"It's not the case I am not arriving here and I can spend a lot of money, changing all the team. You know the situation so it's not a point to talk about it."
