Is Kai Havertz fit to start for Brighton vs Arsenal? Injury news latest and FPL update
Arsenal - and Fantasy Premier League players - will be hoping that Kai Havertz will be fit enough to return to the squad to face Brighton on Saturday evening.
The Gunners will take on the Seagulls at the Amex Stadium as they return to Premier League action for their second match of 2025. Arsenal started the year in perfect fashion with a 3-1 victory away at Brentford on New Year's Day to move up to second place in the table, leapfrogging Nottingham Forest in the process.
One player who was absent from the win at the Gtech Community Stadium was Havertz, who was understood to have been under the weather for the fixture. An illness bug has struck the Arsenal squad in recent days which has affected several players, including Havertz, and Mikel Arteta was asked about the current state of his squad during his pre-match press conference.
