Kash Ali has boxing licence suspended after David Price biting controversy
Kash Ali has had his licence suspended by the British Boxing Board of Control following his disqualification for biting David Price.
The bizarre incident occurred in the fifth round all-British heavyweight clash at the M&S Bank arena in Liverpool.
With Price on top in the bout, the two fighters tussled to the canvas where Ali appeared to bite his opponent on the torso.
The referee Mark Lyson immediately called an end to the fight, disqualifying Birmingham-born Ali, who left the arena pelted by drinks from angry fans under a chorus of boos.

Speaking immediately after the fight, Price condemned his opponent’s behaviour.
“It’s a disappointing way to win” the 35-year-old told Sky Sports.
“He was in the fight, he ruined it for himself but I hurt him to the body before the final bite he took.”
On talks of a possible rematch, Price made his position clear:
“I don’t want to share a ring with an animal like that again”
Ali, who also had his purse from the bout withheld, is set to face a hearing on April 13 with he is likely to receive a heavy fine and a ban for his actions.
