Kendal Rugby Club's second team secure back-to-back win
Kendal Rugby Club's second team secured a second consecutive victory, defeating Aldwinians 22-15 at Mint Bridge.
The Black & Ambers, who snatched a last-second win against Eagle the previous weekend, backed up their performance with another solid result against a tough opponent.
The first 20 minutes of the match were uneventful until Kendal broke the deadlock with Jordan Johnson's try.
Kendal went into the half-time break with a narrow 5-0 lead.
The second half saw Kendal come out strong, scoring two tries within the first six minutes.
Adam Harding was the first to score, followed by Charlie Elbourne's try to make it 15-0.
Aldwinians found their first try after 65 minutes, but Kendal quickly responded with another Jordan Johnson try and a conversion from Josh Waters.
With 15 minutes left, Kendal held a comfortable 22-5 lead.
Aldwinians mounted late pressure with two tries in quick succession in the 75th and 77th minutes, bringing the score to 22-15.
However, Kendal managed to hold on, securing the two points.
They now prepare to face Birkenhead Park seconds at home this Saturday.
