Huddersfield Town owner Kevin Nagle says the club have “made some changes” in a bid to reduce the number of injuries during the second half of the campaign.

The Terriers have had to contend with significant unavailability throughout the season to date, with eight players sidelined for Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Blackpool, of which six were through injury.

Of Town’s seven substitutes at the weekend, five have recently returned from setbacks, with Lee Nicholls and Rhys Healey making their first appearances on the bench following extended spells out.

Nagle acknowledged the scale of the problem during his time at the club. Town's owner hopes some alterations can lead to a healthier injury picture moving forward.

“We looked at the situation to see why we’re having so many injuries, and we made some changes on the staff there. I’m excited by it, they looked hard (into the issue), Nagle said in his diary on X.

“In all my years of being in the football world, I’ve never seen so many injuries, candidly the last two years, just since I’ve really been the owner of Huddersfield Town.

“The fact of the matter is we have had a lot of injuries, and we are concerned about what happens as we go down the second half of the stretch to make sure that we don’t have too many injuries.

“We’re fully deployed, I think we’re going to be really healthy. We made some changes I think and adjustments to how the players prepare themselves for each match.”
