Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's agent has previously claimed that he doesn't want the Georgian to continue playing for Napoli amid Liverpool links. According to The Athletic, the Reds could consider a move for the 23-year-old if he leaves in January.

Reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain are plotting a transfer for the winger and have emerged as leading candidates. Free-spending Chelsea have also been mooted while the Reds could be pushed into a move with David Ornstein suggesting they are "attentive to the situation".

Liverpool currently have an embarrassment of riches in wide attacking areas with Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez all capable of playing on Kvaratskhelia's favoured left-hand side. In the report, the Athletic write that while the Reds are not actively seeking a player of the Georgian stars profile but could join the race if the opportunity arises.

Kvaratskhelia enjoyed a breakout Euro 2024 campaign as 68th FIFA-ranked nation emerged after catching the eye in the competition. Speaking in the summer, his agent Mamuka Jugeli told Georgian outlet Imedi: "I don’t want people to think that Kvara wants to stay at Napoli.

"We want to leave, but we are waiting for the end of the Euros so as not to disturb Khvicha. The priority is to join a team that plays in the Champions League."

So far, it has been a positive response from Napoli after registering the Italian top-flight's worst title defence last season. Antonio Conte's side sit three points clear of Atalanta and four clear of Inter Milan - who have two games in hand to play on Gli Azzurri.

Despite having two years remaining on his contract, it has been reported that the lack of movement to table fresh terms have encouraged interest. Kvaratskhelia was heavily linked with Liverpool in the summer but the Reds ultimately landed Federico Chiesa in a £12.5m deal while Kvaratskhelia stayed in Naples with a contract running until 2027.
