Chelsea are now intensifying their efforts to bring in a new head coach following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino earlier in the week.

The Blues and Pochettino parted company on Tuesday, with the club confirming the mutual decision in a statement. Less than 48 hours on from the statement, Chelsea are upping their efforts to bring in a new head coach. The club want things to unfold sooner rather than later, understands, so it is not a saga that rolls on all summer-long.

It is understood that Sebastian Hoeness, Kieran McKenna and Enzo Maresca are all on the Blues' shortlist to replace Pochettino. Hoeness, who led VfB Stuttgart to a runners-up finish in Bundesliga in the 2023/24 season, is hugely admired by some at the club for his style of play and personality.

McKenna, likewise, is admired for the job he has done at Ipswich Town. The 38-year-old coach has led the Tractor Boys back to the top-flight for the first time in 22 years after a sensational season in the Championship.

Maresca was the only man to pip McKenna in the second-tier last season with the Italian leading Leicester City back to the top-flight immediately after their relegation. There are said to be other candidates Chelsea are considering as well ahead of what is a massively significant decision for the club's ownership group.

There is so much to talk about with Chelsea right now. So we feel it is right to give the supporters a chance to ask Bobby Vincent some questions on the latest managerial hunt.
