Kington Cricket Club celebrate installation of new roof
KINGTON Cricket Club has kicked off the New Year with a new roof!
The replacement roof was only made possible by a grant from Herefordshire Council's Community Infrastructure Fund, funded by UK Government which covered a significant portion of the cost.
Club chairman Garry Irwin said: “We’re absolutely thrilled with our new roof.
“For the past three years, we've dealt with leaks and water damage in the clubhouse, so this upgrade ensures the future of our community club for many years to come.
“It will allow our senior, junior, and women’s & girls' teams to continue thriving.
“On behalf of everyone at Kington Cricket Club, I’d like to extend our thanks to Herefordshire Council for the grant, the local contractor and their team for their hard work, and the committee members who worked behind the scenes on this major improvement.
“As a small club at the heart of Herefordshire, we couldn’t have done it without these people. We’re looking forward to the 2025 season and welcome all players and visitors to the club.”
