Arsenal travel to Wolves on Saturday hoping to get back to winning ways in the Premier League. The Gunners were held to a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa in their last league game but go into the clash at Molineux Stadium as favourites.

With Liverpool facing Ipswich Town at the same time, Mikel Arteta knows his side cannot afford any more slip ups as the Reds already have a six-point advantage over the north Londoners. Under Vitor Pereira Wolves have improved in recent weeks, although they have lost their previous two matches, with the 3-1 defeat to Chelsea on Monday their latest result.

Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu will definitely miss the clash in the Midlands. William Saliba and Myles Lewis-Skelly are also unlikely to be fit, although Arteta did not completely rule the duo out when speaking to the media on Friday.

The Gunners boss faces a number of tricky decisions when it comes to his team selection. football.london's writers have their say on who the Spaniard should select to start against Wolves, below.

Sam Truelove

A must win for Arsenal. A loss or draw would be unacceptable. And that makes Arteta's team selection very interesting indeed.

With David Raya the obvious candidate to start in goal, I would resist temptation to start Thomas Partey at right-back. Jurrien Timber should remain in the role, which means Jakub Kiwior continues at right centre-back. The Polish international did alright against Dinamo Zagreb and people are quick to forget his impressive contributions throughout last season. Gabriel, of course, partners Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko gets the nod for me at left-back. Riccardo Calafiori is back fit and could play here but Zinchenko's creativity should not be overlooked.

My midfield trio would be Partey, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard. Mikel Merino and Jorginho can come off the bench if needed but that starting three is a tried and tested formula.

With Kai Havertz leading the line and hoping to score his 15th goal of the season, my wide forwards would be Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard. Raheem Sterling simply hasn't done enough to warrant another start, while Ethan Nwaneri is a good option from the bench now the teenager has returned to full fitness.

Truelove's XI: Raya, Timber, Kiwior, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Partey, Rice, Odegaard; Martinelli, Havertz, Trossard

Lee Wilmot

It's a big match this one for Arsenal. With Liverpool at home to Ipswich and expecting to claim all three points, the Gunners cannot afford to slip up.

Mikel Arteta does not have much choice but to go strong, given the injuries he has. David Raya starts in goal - Neto is likely to head back to Bournemouth in the summer having not played a minute.

Thomas Partey has to play at right-back because I think Jurrien Timber will have to fill in at centre-back alongside Gabriel Magalhaes again. Then I'd take a chance on Myles Lewis-Skelly at left-back if he is fit, with Arteta admitting he would make a late call on the youngster.

In midfield I'm playing Mikel Merino with the normal duo of Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard. That extra bit of steel could be useful against a strong Wolves outfit.

With Ethan Nwaneri back in action in the Champions League, I'd give him a start in Bukayo Saka's position, with Gabriel Martinelli on the other side and Kai Havertz through the middle.

Wilmot's team: Raya; Partey, Timber, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Rice, Merino, Odegaard; Nwaneri, Haverzt, Martinelli.
