YORK Knights’ Challenge Cup clash at Keighley Cougars will be broadcast live on The Sportsman.

Mark Applegarth’s side travel to Cougar Park on February 2 for their second-round tie, which has been postponed by a week due to their involvement in Saturday’s inaugural Amsterdam Challenge against Hull KR.

It is the sides' first meeting since July 2023, when a Jesse Dee hat-trick and Joe Brown brace steered the Knights to a statement 50-10 win in West Yorkshire.

Should York overcome the League One promotion-chasers in their first competitive match of 2025, they will host the Robins in the third round of the competition on the weekend of February 8-9.

The other second-round ties – including York Acorn vs Oulton Raiders – will be played this coming weekend.

Antony Chilton’s tenure began with a 52-4 victory at GB Police last Sunday, but incentives don’t come much bigger than a chance to host Super League side Hull FC in the third round.

Saturday’s second-round tie between London Broncos and Goole Vikings will also receive live coverage on BBC Sport, iPlayer, Red Button and the BBC Sport website.

The match marks an historic occasion for the Vikings, who have recruited a number of ex-Knights for 2025, with the club playing their first-ever competitive match since their successful application to join League One.

Meanwhile, the British Forces Broadcasting Services (BFBS) will show the tie between the Royal Navy and Workington Town, who will make the long trip down to Portsmouth from the Cumbrian coast.
