'I know one day' - Andy Robertson replacement option breaks silence on Liverpool transfer links
Slavia Prague left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf has admitted that it's "nice" to be linked with a move to Liverpool following speculation over a possible transfer. However, he has claimed that he has no reason to leave quickly, after only making the switch to the Czech Republic 12 months ago.
In recent weeks, the 20-year-old Senegal defender has emerged as a potential solution to issues surrounding the full-back department. Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher has previously detailed how a left-back could be key in Arne Slot's side in achieving Premier League success, following uncharacteristic errors from Andy Robertson with Kostas Tsimikas also struggling to land a regular starting berth under Arne Slot.
Diouf has made 37 senior appearances for Slavia Prague after arriving from Danish side Tromso in January 2024. His displays for the Czech club have sparked speculation on his future, despite him having three years remaining on his deal in the capital.

"I can see what is happening around me, but I'm definitely not distracted by it. I'm concentrating on myself, on Slavia, I have no reason to rush. I told my uncle, my agent, the same thing. He knows everything," he told Czech media outlet iDNES.
"I know that one day I will take the next step. That day is approaching, but I also have to be convinced that it is happening at the ideal moment so as not to slow down my development.
"I don't know if [Liverpool interest] is true. It sounds nice, but would I play for Liverpool? Would I fit in there? For me, it's essential that I don't stop.
"It's difficult to move from the substitutes bench. I need to be playing."
