There looks set to be more movement on the Tottenham transfer front this week with Alfie Dorrington set to join Aberdeen on loan. The 19-year-old is in line to secure a move to the Scottish Premiership side and get his first taste of regular senior football.

Unable to get minutes at centre-back recently despite a lack of options there, Dorrington will now follow in the footsteps of Under-21s teammates Jamie Donley, Josh Keeley and George Abbott by heading out on loan to aid his development. The aforementioned loan trio have flourished away from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this term and the hope will be that the highly-regarded centre-back can do likewise.

So what exactly do Johan Lange and Tottenham need to do in terms of incomings and outgoings for Ange Postecoglou before the transfer deadline on Monday, February 3? football.london takes a look below.

Sign a centre-back

Tottenham's centre-back options are now going to be limited even further following the decision to allow Dorrington to depart temporarily. The numbers should be boosted by the end of the month with the returns of Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Ben Davies but it's still clear to see that a new addition at the back has to arrive ASAP.

Archie Gray has performed brilliantly at centre-back alongside Radu Dragusin over the past month or so but that is not his position. The duo have been pushed recently after playing every few days and Spurs really could have done with resting at least one of them at Tamworth on Sunday, especially with the game going to extra-time.

With plenty of games still to come before the injured trio return, Tottenham need to add to their centre-back numbers as they cannot afford any further injuries with so much riding on the rest of the campaign.

Left-back decision

Tottenham have a couple of decisions to make in regards to the left-back berth before the window slams shut. The first is regarding a potential incoming in the position despite Djed Spence's outstanding displays there in recent weeks.

As Spence is a right-back by trade, Spurs could do with signing a natural for the position on the left, whether that be in the January transfer market or in the summer. The second decision revolves around Sergio Reguilon's future as he is now in the final six months of his contract.

A player who is not in Postecoglou's long-term thinking, the Spaniard has seen an increase in playing time over the past fortnight with Destiny Udogie out through injury. It would certainly be better from a financial perspective to sell Reguilon in January rather than lose him on a free transfer, although that is all going to come down to interested clubs making their move.

If not, he could provide cover at left-back in the final few months of the campaign before he bids farewell to Tottenham in the summer. From the financial perspective of the player, a summer exit would be much more lucrative as he would have his pick of clubs on a free transfer and his signing-on fee would be greater.

Kolo Muani transfer

Tottenham will hopefully have another attacking option to choose from in the remainder of the season. Postecoglou has admitted he would like Spurs to sign a new attacker during the January transfer window amid links with PSG ace Randal Kolo Muani.

In Richarlison's absence through injury, Dominic Solanke has barely had a breather and unfortunately he was required from the bench on Sunday to ensure Tottenham didn't suffer a cup upset at Tamworth. In addition to the need to ensure there is some cover for the summer signing, there is no guarantee that Richarlison will get through the rest of the season completely unscathed going on his luck on the injury front ever since his move from Everton.

Kolo Muani would be a statement signing for Tottenham in the January transfer window if they can get a deal over the line for the PSG frontman. The France international can play right across the frontline and his versatility would be a huge asset as Tottenham battle on four fronts.

More loan exits

A deal for Kolo Muani or another frontman could potentially open the door for Will Lankshear to leave on loan. The striker has been a regular on the bench this season but he has been limited to only four first-team appearances.

Lankshear unfortunately wasn't to add to his appearances at Tamworth on Sunday afternoon and a temporary exit may be best for all parties if his game time is going to be restricted even further. Spurs certainly won't be short on options for the 19-year-old after the amount of goals he registered for the Under-21s last season.

Tyrese Hall is another academy ace who could do with a loan deal to aid his development after not featuring in Postecoglou's plans this season. As well as Hall, other youngsters could possibly leave on loan to get some much-needed first-team experience in the tank.
