Former Manchester City and England defender Wayne Bridge is reportedly being lined up to fight influencer KSI.

Reports from The Daily Mail claim that Bridge, 44, is set to be announced as the YouTuber's next opponent - with an announcement "due imminently".

Ex-Premier League ace Bridge, who joined City from Chelsea in 2009 and spent four years at the Etihad Stadium, has not stepped into the ring since he defeated Made in Chelsea star, Spencer Matthews, in a charity bout seven years ago.

KSI, meanwhile, has ventured into the world of boxing as both a fighter and promoter over recent years, and he's the co-founder of the Misfits promotion.

The 31-year-old, whose other business ventures include being part of the Sidemen YouTube group and co-owning Prime Hydration, has recorded four wins from his six bouts.

However, he suffered a defeat to Manchester-born Tommy Fury in his last bout in October 2023.

Speaking to The Mirror in August, KSI, real name Olajide Olatunji, said he was targeting "super fights" on his return to the ring.

"I think I'm probably looking at big super-fights, he said. Like a fight between me and Amir Khan or a fight between me and [Floyd] Mayweather.

"Especially after he [Mayweather] beat my bro [Deji], I'd love to get revenge or avenge the loss. And then there's other big names out there which just sound a bit more exciting, so no offence to Anthony Taylor or Slim, I'm sure they're both going to continue to smash it within Misfits, but I think for me, my goal is definitely getting big, huge super fights."

In September, former Premier League defender Danny Simpson made the crossover to Misfits boxing as he fought YouTube personality Danny Aarons.
