British influencer KSI has teased a spectacular boxing match with Conor McGregor as he admitted he is "very down" to fight the former two-weight UFC champion.

Last month, it was revealed that McGregor, 36, was in discussions with the Ambani family over facing American influencer Logan Paul in an exhibition match in India.

But reports on Tuesday night claimed Paul could opt against fighting McGregor as he looks to focus on his career in the WWE.

However, KSI, who has not fought since he was defeated by Tommy Fury in October 2023, has said he would be ready to take Paul's place and agree to a potential bout with McGregor.

Writing on X, KSI said: "Not rumoured. I’m very down."

Irishman McGregor has not fought since he broke his leg in the first round of his lightweight clash against Dustin Poirier in June 2021. He had been scheduled to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June but pulled out after suffering a toe injury.

McGregor, who won the lightweight title in 2015 before beating Eddie Alvarez the following year to win featherweight gold, has previously fought Floyd Mayweather in a boxing exhibition in 2017.

The Irishman has two fights remaining on his contract UFC contract.
