Kyogo Furuhashi's Celtic exit could be confirmed today as Rennes boss speaks out
Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi is set to complete a transfer to Ligue 1 side Rennes - and the deal could even be official today.
Furuhashi, 30, has represented Celtic on 165 occasions since being brought to the club under Ange Postecoglou in July 2021, scoring 86 times.
It looks like his final appearance came against BSC Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League, a game where the Japanese star had three efforts ruled out - two for offside and one because of a foul.
Rennes were credited with wanting to seal the £10million signing of Furuhashi shortly after the final whistle went to mark a historic 1-0 win at Parkhead.

The news sent shockwaves through the Celtic support, and now Rennes manager Jorge Sampaoli has confirmed the rumours, suggesting that Furuhashi may even feature when they visit AS Monaco this weekend.
"We are hoping that the deal is completed today for Kyogo and if that is the case, he could have minutes against Monaco," he said during a press conference on Thursday [January 23].
"He is a player that we really wanted and who can bring us depth.”
