Ladies enjoy sunny day for Stableford at Taunton & Pickeridge

For the first time in some while the Ladies Section at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club enjoyed a lovely sunny day for their Stableford competition.

The winner in Division One was Hilary Parker with 37 points, while it was Sarah Gamble who headed the second division with 33 points.

The last time that T&P Ladies played was two weeks ago when the winner in the top flight of the Stableford was Roz Pocklington with 29 points.

Jane Martin Scott was second with 26 points, but only after count back edged her in front of third placed Terina Parker and Alison McGown who both returned with the same score. Lennox Heath was fifth with 22 points.

In Division Two the winner was Emma Smith the current Lady Captain who scored 27 points. There was a two way tie on 25 points but following count back it was Margaret Nation who was second just ahead of Judy Powell who was third.

Fourth place went to Katie Guest with 24 points, while Barbara Barber with 23 was fifth.

Taunton and Pickeridge offer a very warm welcome to those who enjoy society golf. Throughout the year many societies visit as regular guests,  which means a lot to the Club.
