Lamar Jackson stats vs Steelers: History of Ravens QB's struggles against rival
Lamar Jackson enjoyed arguably his best NFL season in 2024. Now, he is hoping to parlay that into playoff success and make it to the Super Bowl for the first time.
Jackson's journey will start Saturday when the Baltimore Ravens take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. That matchup may not necessarily be an easy one for him.
The Steelers are entering the NFL playoffs on a cold streak having lost four consecutive games, but they have typically played well against Jackson. He has struggled, at times, to generate positive momentum against Pittsburgh, who has limited his ability to run the ball while forcing him into plenty of turnovers as a passer.
Here's what to know about Jackson's struggles against the Steelers and the silver lining at which Ravens fans will be looking as Baltimore's 2025 postseason begins.

The good news for Baltimore fans is that Jackson led the Ravens to a 34-17 win over the Steelers in his last game against them. Jackson completed 15-of-23 passes for 206 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in that game and helped Baltimore snap a four-game losing streak against Pittsburgh.
Still, he isn't too far removed from his struggles against the Steelers. Jackson completed just 16-of-33 passes for 207 yards, one touchdown and one interceptions against Pittsburgh earlier in the season.
Lamar Jackson record vs. Steelers
Jackson has posted a 2-4 record in his six career starts against the Steelers. He beat Pittsburgh in his first start against them, which came during the 2019 NFL season, but failed to do so against until Week 16 of the 2024 season. He also missed six games against them due to a combination of injuries and being on the COVID-19 list during one of their 2020 matchups.
As a result, the Ravens are just a combined 5-9 against the Steelers since Jackson joined the team in 2018.
NFL POWER RANKINGS: Which playoff team is biggest Super Bowl threat?
Lamar Jackson playoff record
Jackson's playoff record is the same as his record against the Steelers: 2-4. He won his first playoff game in 2021 and earned his largest – a 24-point win over the Houston Texans – last season.
Jackson has never won two playoff games in the same postseason. He is hoping to buck that trend this season – if he can get past the Steelers in the wild-card round.
