Lasse Sorensen injury latest as Huddersfield Town chief gets double boost for Cambridge United
Huddersfield Town head coach Michael Duff has confirmed that Lasse Sorensen hasn’t suffered a recurrence of the hamstring injury that kept him sidelined for almost two months of the campaign.
The wing-back missed around seven weeks of the season after sustaining the injury in the win over Bristol Rovers on October 19.
The defender made his return in the EFL Trophy defeat at Bolton Wanderers last week, but had to come off in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Lincoln City with another suspected hamstring setback.

However, although Sorensen is set to miss tomorrow's clash at Cambridge United, Duff confirmed that the wing-back hasn’t injured his hamstring again.
“I don’t think he’ll be ready for the weekend, but it’s positive news,” said Duff. “He basically irritated a bit of scar tissue, so he’s not re-injured it, he’s not re-pulled his hamstring, which was the fear.
“It probably will keep him out for a little bit of time, but it’s not going to be a seven or eight week job like it was the last time. Good news on that one.”
David Kasumu should be available for Friday's clash after also having a hamstring concern in the draw against Lincoln, with Duff adding: “There was contact, so it was a dead leg in the back of his hamstring, but because of the sensation, he thought he’d pulled his hamstring.
“That was just a dead leg, so David will be fine. A good job really as well, because we are light in that area of the pitch.”
Duff had no further injuries to report, while the head coach is also hoping that illness won’t continue to affect his squad, with Tom Lees set to return after missing Saturday’s game due to being unwell.
“We’ve had a couple missing this week (through illness), hopefully they should be back. Because it’s the back end of the week, it should be okay,” the Terriers boss said.
