Newcastle United have been installed as fourth favourites to lift the FA Cup in May after sealing their spot in round four. Eddie Howe's side had to come from behind to beat Bromley 3-1 at St James' Park on Sunday, but ran out comfortable winners after an early scare.

Their reward is a fourth-round tie at League One leaders Birmingham City in early February, a game which will be another tough test for United, but one they will be expected to win. Indeed the bookies seem confident of United progressing to round five if the odds on Newcastle winning the entire competition are anything to go by.

They are currently priced at 8/1 to lift the famous trophy at Wembley on May 17, joint fourth favourites with Manchester United. After yesterday's fourth-round draw, Manchester City were installed as 7/2 favourites, with Pep Guardiola's side handed a tie at either Leyton Orient or Derby County.

Liverpool are 9/2 second favourites with a game at Championship strugglers Plymouth in round four for Arne Slot's side, while Chelsea, who will face Premier League rivals Brighton away, are priced at 7/1. United's next opponents Birmingham are ranked 150/1 outsiders, while non-league Dagenham and Redbridge are 4000/1 if anyone is feeling wild.

Newcastle are already second favourite to lift the Carabao Cup following their 2-0 semi-final first-leg win over Arsenal last week, with the Magpies priced at 7/4 to end their trophy drought in March's final. Liverpool are 5/4 favourites despite losing their first leg to Tottenham, with Arne Slot's side backed to overturn their one-goal defecit in the second leg at Anfield. Spurs are 5/1 while Arsenal at outsiders at 15/2 ahead of February's second leg at St James' Park.
