LeBron James makes unmissable Liverpool gesture on sidelines at NBA game
Liverpool investor Lebron James showcased his unwavering support for the Reds during an NBA game, making a gesture that instantly caught the attention of fans worldwide.
Shortly after FSG took ownership of Liverpool, James secured a two percent stake in the club as part of a marketing deal with the Boston-based group, according to The Athletic. At the time, his shares were valued at around $6 million (£4.7m/€5.5m).
In 2022, James exchanged his Liverpool stake for a one percent share in FSG’s broader portfolio, which includes the Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Penguins, and a stake in NASCAR team RFK Racing. The Mirror reported that by the time he made the switch, his Liverpool shares had risen in value to approximately $45 million (£35m/€31m).

Despite trading in his shares, James has never hid his admiration for the Reds and his latest public display of loyalty further cements his connection to Anfield.
While watching the Los Angeles Lakers in action from the sidelines, James was spotted wearing a full Liverpool tracksuit. It is not the first time the basketball star has endorsed Reds wear overseas.
Liverpool supporters have long embraced James as one of their own, with the NBA icon frequently referencing the club in interviews and on social media. He has previously worn Liverpool merchandise on multiple occasions.
James has also taken on a more prominent role in Liverpool's commercial ventures in recent years. The club has collaborated with him and Nike to release two 'LFC x LeBron' merchandise collections, blending soccer and basketball themes with crossover branding.
These releases have been a major commercial success, further strengthening the connection between the NBA superstar and the Reds.
His latest gesture serves as another reminder of his passion for the team and his ongoing influence in the world of football.
