Lee Feeney hails his Bangor Irish Cup heroes despite game plan going out the window
Lee Feeney was full of praise for his Bangor heroes after their stunning Irish Cup win over Glentoran.
The Seasiders stunned the Premiership giants with a superb first half display as goals from Ben Arthurs, Ben Cushnie and Lewis Harrison sent the home support into dreamland.
The Glens had no answers for the Championship leaders with Feeney admitting afterwards that even he was surprised by his side's display.

“The goals came at a great time for us," said Feeney. "We had a plan to try and break up the game and slow things down for the first 20 minutes or so.
“But we got the goal early on and we kicked on and began playing on the front foot . . . suddenly there was a great belief in the side.
"Within 10 minutes we got our second goal . . . that one seemed to shock Glentoran. Goals change games.
“I thought if we can get in at half-time with a two-goal cushion, we’ll be doing ok. But we got the third goal just before the interval, which was a massive bonus.
“We had no failures on the night. The boys had to work really, really hard for the win. We had a good shape. We knew, to a man, including the substitutes, we would need to be on it from minute one. Some of the boys were running on empty at the finish.
"We had to suffer a little bit in the second half. We were up against a full-time team; we knew they would come after us. Do you know what, I’m really disappointed we conceded the goal, but that’s how far this team have come.
“They have a great mentality. The boys are happy to be in the semi-final, but our focus now turns to a big League game against Institute.
“It was a one-off game, so we’ll not get ahead of ourselves. We know if we played Glentoran next week again, they’d probably turn us over.
“But it was a game we prepared thoroughly for. We worked hard nullify their threat and we worked hard all over the pitch.”
