Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has previously stated Patrick Bamford remains part of his plans for the remainder of the 2024/25 season despite links with a move away.

The striker has yet to start a game for Leeds so far this season and has failed to score in any of his eight substitute appearances. Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph are currently ahead of him in the pecking order.

Reports in the January transfer window have emerged that Serie A side Genoa and League One outfit Wrexham have shown an interest in signing him.

Blackburn Rovers have also been linked with the 31-year-old with John Eustace confirming he was on their list of targets. "Patrick is a very good player, I played with him at Derby, a long time ago when he started out," Eustace told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"He's a consistent performer at this level, he plays for a huge club in Leeds. But there will be lots of names thrown towards me and I'll just say they're good players.

"You'd have to ask the club. He's a player on a long list that we have looked at and we'll have to see. Jed is another good Championship player. West Brom have a lot of good Championship players and these players all fit that description."

Despite interest growing in the striker, Farke has retained that Bamford is part of his plan to help the Whites back to the Premier League. "It's beneficial for him that he is, since several weeks or so, back in the team training and works on his fitness level, sharpness," he said.

“A fit Patrick Bamford is always a good option. In general, all the players from the bench had a really decent impact and I like this a lot.

“Patrick looked alive. He had a great chance. Was a bit unlucky to to miss it, but all the players who came from the bench looked sharp in this game.”

However, with Joe Gelhardt set for a move to Hull City on loan, it would leave Leeds short of options up front if Bamford were to leave Elland Road - making a move away from the Whites unlikely this month.
