Eintracht Frankfurt reportedly want to pay under €10million (£8m) for Ramus Kristensen, despite the initial loan agreement that saw him move from Leeds United to the Bundesliga.

The 27-year-old left Elland Road on loan with an option to buy in July after spending the previous campaign with AS Roma on a temporary basis. German outlet BILD have claimed that the initial deal to bring the Denmark international to Germany's top-flight included a €15million (£12.5m) purchase clause.

Kristensen has been impressive for Frankfurt as they have mounted a challenge for the Champions League places. BILD has suggested, via Sport Witness, that the prospective club want to renege their agreement and wants a discount while Kristensen knows he needs to perform to ensure his move is made permanent.

Elsewhere, Liverpool prospect Oakley Cannonier was a trialist for the Whites during their Premier League 2 defeat at home to West Ham United. The Athletic has reported that the 20-year-old has been at Thorp Arch this week as he looks to earn a move to his local club.

Cannonier, who featured in the last 30 minutes of the 2-1 defeat, played for Leeds as a youngster before moving to Merseyside to join Liverpool. Cannonier has been dubbed as a prolific goal-scorer in the Reds youth ranks but his progression in the north west has been hampered through injury.

For Liverpool's under-18s, the England U19 international scored 33 goals in just 37 matches, as well as eight in 10 matches in the UEFA Youth League, but couldn't replicate that form in the under-21s, netting just three goals in 18 appearances.
