Around the country, you can hear the sound of managers keeping their cards close to their chest about their January transfer business - and that is no different at Leeds United.

The Whites have been linked with a number of players this month. However, manager Daniel Farke is keen to do less business if it is going to disrupt his table-topping group.

"Quality players always help and to add a quality player with good character is always good but I'm also not a big fan of doing too much in January," he said. "Of course, if you are forced into doing something due to injuries or something is really missing in the group, then you have to react.

"But once you head into January sitting top of the table, they can't be too much wrong in the group. Sometimes when you do too much business it can disturb the spirit right in and around the group. They are pretty tight together and everyone is needed. Everyone chips in. We need everyone with the rotation. We have a pretty tight group and I like this. I don't like when a group is too big."

Here is a round-up of the latest transfer news surrounding Leeds United:

Scott Parker gives Mike Tresor update

Mike Tresor is a name that has been linked with Leeds United the summer and once again in the current window, according to journalist Alan Nixon. He has yet to appear in the matchday squad for Burnley so far this term.

Scott Parker spoke about the winger ahead of the game against Blackburn Rovers this weekend. The 44-year-old head coach is not quite sure what Tresor's future will look like at the end of the month.

“I’m honestly not really sure,” Parker said. “What I do know is that the club have put huge investment into Mikey and he’s obviously got quality. We need to get Mikey to a level where he’s fit and try and get him available for games to play for us and help us this year.

“That’s the main aim, that’s certainly what I’m doing and what we’re all doing. Hopefully we can get there and hopefully we can get over these little niggles he seems to be picking up and get him back up to speed to help us this year by scoring some goals and get us out of this division.”

Premier League champions interested in Khusanov

Leeds United will have to fight off some really tough competition if they want to secure the services of Lens' Abdukodir Khusanov. Newcastle United, Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur, RB Leipzig and PSG are also interested.

Current Premier League champions Manchester City are also said to be in the race for the Uzbekistan international. Farke and co will have their work cut out to fend off the competition.

A price tag of around £20 million has been set for Khusavov, which seems a tough ask for the Whites given the stature of clubs they're competing against. The Whites have also got Nico Elvedi and Andrew Omobamidele on their defensive shortlist.

Change of agency for Sanches

Alvyn Sanches, who has been linked with Leeds, has changed his agent ahead of a potential January transfer. The winger is now represented by BSG Group.

He has scored nine times in 21 games this season for Swiss Super League side FC Lausanne-Sport. Scottish champions Celtic were in for Sanches during the summer, according to reports.

The 21-year-old is said to be available for around £7.5 million and he would add some depth in the attacking department and inject some more youth into the forward line-up.
