Leeds United hit by triple injury scare as Daniel Farke delivers Millwall FA Cup verdict
Boss Daniel Farke has expressed his disappointment over Leeds United being dumped out of the FA Cup by Millwall. A much-changed United team produced a disjointed performance as they suffered their first defeat since November 30.
A brace either side of half-time from Femi Azeez's dumped them out of the FA Cup. Azeez opened the scoring in the 30th minute, seeing his right foot drive from long range take a wicked deflection to wrong-foot Karl Darlow. The forward was a thorn in the Whites' side throughout and bagged his second of the contest in the 55th minute, drilling a shot past Darlow.
To compound United's woes, Liam Roberts produced a superb save to keep out Pascal Struijk's penalty. Farke, who made 10 changes to his starting XI, said: "Congratulations to Millwall. We are disappointed. To rotate during this period is necessary, but 10 changes cannot be positive for the fluidity of your football. The schedule forced these changes.

"One of those days where you had chances, but credit to their goalkeeper. One of the games of his life. Great saves, a penalty too. We played too complicated at times in the first half. One of those days where the first goal deflected into the corner.
"We were not clinical. I like the players tried until the last second. Disappointed with outcome today. We lost a bit of fluidity due to changes but no complaints or moans from me."
Joe Rodon and Daniel James were left out of the matchday squad because they were carrying knocks. The pair will be assessed ahead of Tuesday's trip to Watford. Top-scorer Joel Piroe entered the fray late on as a substitute but was only deemed fit enough to be on the bench.
"We didn't want to risk injury," said Farke. "I hope to have them back for Tuesday evening. We have three normal nights to repair and recover. I hope the situation for Tuesday looks better."
