Leeds United injury report for Stoke City carries three doubts and a concern quashed
Wrapping paper cuts aside, Leeds United should take Saturday’s victorious 20 with them to Stoke City on Boxing Day. Daniel Farke’s side went into the Oxford United clash with Junior Firpo and Ilia Gruev as the only confirmed absentees, but Max Wober was ultimately ruled out of the match too.
The Austrian is struggling with a long-standing knee issue and seems unlikely to be rushed back for United's bet365 Stadium journey. Pascal Struijk was rated a 50-50 for the Oxford game and was ultimately left on the bench for an emergency scenario which never materialised.
The vice-captain will be keen to return to the fold at the first time of asking, but captain Ethan Ampadu came through his first start since late September in good shape. Farke will be keen to avoid overloading the Wales international if Struijk’s hamstring is considered ready to go again.

One of those players who did finish the Oxford win with a question mark was Joe Rodon, who appeared to be stretching out one of his muscles, though Farke has put any of that to bed. The manager was more concerned with Rodon’s latest blood episode when he spoke on Saturday evening.
“Yes, a little cut on his head,” he said. “So it seems like when he goes in for his headers, he has too many edges on his head. He is always quite often like a bloody face when he comes into the dressing room.
“I spoke already to him, he's a warrior and he will be ready to go again. All the others seem to be all right. We have to assess them also in the upcoming days, but at least straight after the game, no injury was reported.
“For that, I'm carefully optimistic all the players who are involved today are also capable to travel with us and perform with us on Boxing Day, so it looks quite good.”
