Leeds United postponement latest as Met Office issues weekend weather warning
A weather update has been issued ahead of Leeds United's return to Championship action this weekend.
United will travel to Humberside to take on Hull City at the MKM Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Leeds go into the fixture on the back of a 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers on New Year's Day, dropping points for just the third time at Elland Road this season.
Daniel Farke's side are top of the Championship table and three points ahead of second-placed Burnley going into the clash against Hull. Leeds also have a three-point advantage in the automatic promotion spots, with Sheffield United in third and level on points with the Clarets.
Leeds will be looking to secure another important victory against Hull as they continue their quest to clinch automatic promotion to the Premier League. However, there has been doubt cast over the fixtures this weekend after a weather update.

The Met Office has issued warnings for snow and ice on both Saturday and Sunday across the UK. It remains to be seen if United's clash against Hull will be affected, though.
A yellow warning is in place across Humberside on Saturday afternoon for snow and ice. The warning runs from 12pm on Saturday and will run until just before midnight on Sunday evening, which means Leeds' trip to face Hull may be affected.
Heavy snow and freezing rain has been predicted to hit the UK this weekend, with the Met Office issuing a safety warning the general public.
"Outbreaks of rain spreading progressively northeastwards later on Saturday and overnight into Sunday will likely be preceded by a spell of snow on its northern flank," the warning from the Met Office read.
"Whilst there is some uncertainty, any snow in southern and eastern parts of England, especially at low levels, will probably be rather transient before turning back to rain.
"However, some significant accumulations of snow are possible across parts of Wales, the Midlands and northern England in particular, at least for a time, where 5 cm or more could accumulate fairly widely, with perhaps as much as 20-30 cm over high ground of mid and north Wales and potentially 30-40 cm over parts of the Pennines.
"This, accompanied by strengthening winds, may lead to drifting of lying snow."
