Leeds United are enjoying a quiet January transfer window as their quest for Premier League football continues.

The Whites hammered Cardiff City 7-0 at Elland Road on Saturday and are sitting pretty at the top of the Championship table at present.

Meanwhile, fellow chasers Sheffield United and Burnley are doing all they can to gain an extra edge as we reach a pivotal point in the season.

The Blades bounced back from their 3-0 drubbing against Hull City with victory over Derby County recently and have so far recruited four new players this month.

Chris Wilder's side splashed out £10m on Republic of Ireland striker Tom Cannon from Leicester for an undisclosed fee, hoping the 22-year-old can fire them back to the English top flight this year.

Burnley signed Silkeborg right-back Oliver Sonne for an undisclosed fee on a four-and-a-half-year deal on December 31 before announcing their biggest addition earlier today.

Marcus Edwards formerly of Tottenham, has signed for the Clarets from Sporting Lisbon on loan and looks to be a shrewd addition.

The tricky winger previously worked with Scott Parker at Tottenham and could prove a boost to Burnley between now and the end of the season.
