What Leeds United shirt numbers are available to potential signings after Adam Armstrong update
Leeds United's interest in Adam Armstrong came as a surprise to most given the timing of the link.
The 27-year-old, who has three goals in 23 appearances for Premier League strugglers Southampton this season, is also reportedly wanted by Middlesbrough.
The Whites have been squeaky clean, so far, across January and are yet to make an addition. Some would say that is down to the cohesion Daniel Farke has clearly created within the group as a return to the Premier League remains the ultimate aim.

Striker Joel Piroe has hit the ground running as of late netting five goals in his last eight matches and seems to be coming good when it matters most for Leeds.
Farke addressed the media following the 7-0 weekend win over Cardiff admitting Leeds will only act if the correct calibre of player is identified.
"We spoken openly about how we trust this group," he began. "If we find something we will go for it. Not over the moon after this. Our general picture won't change.
"I don't think the teams around us are right now scared. I think they expected the win. I don't think they will now crumble," he added. "I think at this stage, everyone is concentrated on themselves. We all know days like this can happen. It will be the same when we show up at Bramall Lane."
Leeds Live understands United are unlikely to sign Armstrong, who scored the winner against Leeds in the Championship play-off final last term, or his Southampton teammate Cameron Archer before tonight's 11pm cut-off point. The squad numbers the Whites currently have available to prospective new signings are No. 12, No.13, No.15, No.16, No.18, No.20, No. 24, No.27, and No. 28.
